Wrenfield's Investigations Division is a specialized field capability within the larger Foundation, supporting independent inquiry where ecological harm and human actions intersect.
Wrenfield Foundation · Investigations DivisionWhat investigators do
Investigators work in urban, rural, coastal and remote environments; document ecological damage; interview witnesses and specialists; and analyze patterns involving habitats, wildlife, trade, finance and logistics.
Assignments range from commissioned external inquiries to internal assessments that support conservation priorities and strategic decision-making. The division collaborates with scientific programs rather than working apart from them.
A disciplined profession
The work calls for subject-matter expertise, judgment, discretion and composure. Field teams may bring together investigators, biologists, logistical specialists, analysts and regional advisers.
The division's public recruiting materials describe the background and skills sought in applicants. More detailed operational information is provided through appropriate internal channels.
Field coordination
Daniel Rook, Director of Field Coordination, supports the integration of field expertise and operational resources across assignments. “Sound investigations turn uncertainty into action for conservation.”
