Wrenfield is overseen by a governing board and managed through a professional executive office, scientific directorates and regional program teams.
Governance leadership
The Board of Trustees sets fiduciary and institutional priorities, appoints senior leadership, and reviews the Foundation's long-term conservation commitments. Scientific advice is provided independently through rotating discipline-specific panels.
Senior officers coordinate research, regional programs, partnerships, administrative services and field support. Project managers retain substantial operational responsibility within approved program plans.
Executive office
Dr. Helena Marr serves as President of the Foundation, with a background in landscape ecology and research administration. Marcus Bellamy, a descendant of the co-founder, serves as a non-executive trustee rather than directing day-to-day program activity.
The executive office publishes periodic institutional statements and authorizes public annual reporting. Staff biographies are provided selectively, reflecting the Foundation's preference to recognize the work of teams as well as individuals.
Field coordination
Daniel Rook, Director of Field Coordination, works across the Foundation's research and operational programs. His directorate helps connect field personnel, regional relationships and specialist resources when investigations or complicated assessments require them.
As Rook has observed: “Sound investigations turn uncertainty into action for conservation.”
