Independent field checks clarify the footprint of recent infrastructure work.
A map is a starting point
Researchers noticed a linear clearing in repeat imagery and arranged a field verification with an authorized local survey team. The observed route extended beyond the line shown in several prior public project maps.
The program recorded surface disturbance and vegetation conditions but did not determine which party authorized the work or what the legal status of the route might be.
Public reporting
A short technical note explains image dates, field methods and why remote-sensing evidence alone cannot establish responsibility. Relevant agencies have been supplied with the factual observations.
See relevant program pages and the Research & Publications section for background and methods.
